Who Answers Your Call

When you reach out, your request goes to an independent garage door provider in our network. These are separate local businesses. They are not employees of Shifferequip Garage Doors, and they run their own schedules and prices.

Because of that, hours and availability differ from one provider to the next. Request a callback to check provider availability for your address.

What They May Ask You

Expect a few simple questions. They help the provider understand the job before anyone drives out.

• What is the door doing? Stuck, noisy, crooked, or not moving at all?
• Did you hear a bang or see a gap in the spring?
• How old is the door and the opener?
• Is the door open or closed right now?

A photo or a short description is plenty. You do not need the right words.

Questions Worth Asking a Provider

It is fine to ask questions. In fact, it is smart. Here are a few to try:

• Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
• Are parts and labor both covered by a warranty, and for how long?
• Do you carry your own license and insurance where required?
• If you find more problems, will you tell me before doing extra work?

Providers do the work, so these answers come from them. Ask for it in writing.

The Decision Is Yours

Hearing an estimate does not mean you must book. Compare, think it over, and take your time. If a door is stuck and you need your car out, a provider may suggest a quick fix first. You still choose what to approve.

Costs vary by job, so a written quote is the surest way to know what to expect.
